The latest metal stamping and bending technology

Stamping is the separation of a part from metal using a cutting tool. For technical reasons, it generally requires the use of flat materials. This process therefore usually takes place at the beginning of the production chain.

Bending is the forming of material without altering its mass. Bending is used for incorporating arches, profiles and angles into a component rather than separating material. It is generally a process that is subordinate to stamping.

Metal thickness, materials and stamping speed decide which machine is to be used. We have several stamping machines available to give us flexibility in meeting our customer needs. These include stamping presses and automated machines with press forces ranging from 6–250 tonnes. We are therefore able to perform both simple and complex stamping tasks at a consistent level of quality.

No compromises on getting the right quality and dimensions

To get a part from a large assembly to fit perfectly requires absolute adherence to the required tolerances. For serial components – usually produced by stamping and bending – this is possible only by continuous quality control. This requires not only high-precision tools but also suitable procedures of quality assurance and the quick detection of incorrect parts.

Manual stamping may be one of the simplest industrial procedures but we use only the best qualified personnel. Every stamp machine operator is fully trained in quality control. Sample testing and the recording of all relevant data is a core aspect of the procedures performed at stamping machines. All the data from quality control is recorded and statistically processed by the latest computer systems.

This enables the early detection and rectification of tools with deteriorating tolerances. We then check the tool and the stamping process, replace material and restore production quality long before the stamping machine can produce a defective component.
